CTE courses provide the necessary skills and certifications for students to gain an edge in finding jobs as immediate careers or as stepping stones for post-college endeavors.
ESHS offers CTE courses on campus and at nearby Southern California Regional Occupation Center (SoCal ROC) in Torrance
SoCal ROC Guidance Counselor is available in the College and Career Center once a week (Wednesday mornings) to assist students in establishing a career path, selecting course clusters, and registering for each semester.
On-campus courses include: American Sign Language, Band, Art, Media Design, Photography
SoCal ROC courses include: Finance & Business; Dental, Medical, Pharmacy, and Veterinary Sciences; Sign Language; 3D Digital Animation; Fashion Design; Cosmetology; Automotive Technician; Welding; Electrical; and more!
Throughout the school year, various field trip opportunities are available for students to explore career fields and learn about opportunities beyond the surface of a company name. Often these trips lead to networking and internships with local companies. Trips are open to grades 9-12.

The ESHS Work Experience Program is offered for students who work part-time while attending high school. Students can earn high school credit if they meet the following state requirements:
Be at least 16 years of age
Be enrolled in grade 11 or higher
Work a minimum of five hours per week
Have a signed Work Experience agreement between ESHS and an approved employer
Attend a weekly Work Experience class taught by a certificated employee
