High School Internships As part of their preparation for college and career, today's high school students may benefit from participating in a semester internship. An internship may help some students affirm their interest in a certain field of study, while other students who are certain they want to follow a certain career path may change their minds after completing an internship. It is good to find these things out before investing time and money pursuing a college and career path.
Internships also allow students to get valuable experience, become aware of workplace requirements/expectations, plus acquire the soft skills needed in post-secondary education, the workplace, and in life.
El Segundo High School is fortunate to have an abundance of local businesses that partner with us to create internships that benefit our students and help develop a stronger workforce here in El Segundo and as part of the global economy.
Coronavirus and School Closure: It is uncertain when the school closure will be lifted. This may affect current spring interns, as well as prospective summer interns. In the meantime, students may still choose to complete applications and prepare resumes. We will update this page as more information becomes available.
